Article Processing Charges (APC)
The World Journal of Case Reports (WJCR) is an open-access journal, ensuring unrestricted access to published articles. To maintain high publishing standards, a mandatory Article Processing Charge (APC) of 450 USD is required after acceptance.
Payment Methods
Authors can pay the APC using the following methods:
- Bank Transfer (Details provided upon invoice generation)
- PayPal
- Credit/Debit Card (via secure payment gateway)
An official payment confirmation receipt will be provided after successful transaction processing.
Waiver & Discount Policy
To support research dissemination, WJCR offers partial waivers for:
Authors from low-income countries
Researchers with financial constraints
Note: Full waivers are only possible in exceptional cases and are granted at the discretion of the editorial board. Authors seeking a waiver must submit a request before payment, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Refund Policy
APC payments are non-refundable, except in the following cases:
- Duplicate payment
- Article withdrawal before editorial or peer-review processing
- Editorial rejection due to ethical or technical concerns (before production starts)
Refund requests must be submitted via email within 7 days of payment.
Article Withdrawal Policy
Authors may withdraw their submission at any stage. However, withdrawal charges apply based on the processing stage:
- Before peer review: No charges
- After peer review but before acceptance: 50% APC
- After acceptance but before publication: Full APC is applicable
Requests must be submitted via official email with a valid reason.
