Peer-Review Policy
Ensuring high-quality, ethical, and rigorous medical case report evaluations
Objective of Peer Review
The World Journal of Case Reports (WJCR) follows a double-blind peer-review process to maintain high-quality standards in medical publishing. Our peer review aims to ensure accuracy, originality, and clinical significance before publication.
Peer-Review Process
- Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts via email.
- Editorial Screening: Initial checks for plagiarism, formatting, and relevance.
- Reviewer Assignment: Manuscripts are assigned to expert reviewers in the field.
- Review & Feedback: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript and provide constructive feedback.
- Decision & Revision: Based on reviews, the manuscript is accepted, revised, or rejected.
- Final Approval & Publication: Revised manuscripts undergo final review before publication.
Reviewer Selection Criteria
Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, experience, and contribution to the field. They assess manuscripts based on:
- Scientific and clinical validity
- Originality and contribution to medical knowledge
- Clarity and ethical compliance
Ethical Standards in Peer Review
WJCR follows ethical guidelines as per COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics):
- Confidentiality: Manuscripts are handled confidentially.
- No Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any conflicts.
- Constructive Feedback: Reviewers provide unbiased, valuable feedback.
